I am sorry to come out of the blue with this but I will be shuting down the Compendium on July 29 2026. I was excited to create the website however, after much reflecting, I no longer see the use in it. It was a foolish endeanvor in the first place (as well as being expensive!). The functionality is not great and I highly doubt that anyone uses it. I suppose no one is reading this in the first place. I'll rename the youtube channel and remove the ties to the website.
My musicology work does not end here however. I will still use the channel to continue to upload reccordings including more of Il Conte di Montecristo. I love the positive feedback (how ever small) that the channel as been getting. Rest assured I will keep uploading.
I am not sure what the future entails; maybe even another website? I am not sure however I know the Compendium has over stayed its welcome. It is klunky and overbloated. There is no reason to continue to waste time updating something that no one uses and that is not even useful. I will be able to spend more time making recordings this way too. If there is somehow someone that uses this website, contact me using the page or at cworley1853@gmail.com and I will give you all my tricks in regards to finding music.
