I have decided to change course for adding new ballets. Instead of posting every Jules Perrot ballet and divertisment I will instead add only ballets for which I can find a score. After adding the Perrot works for which this applies, I'll start adding different ballets as I find scores. Thanks for the understanding.
Regrettably, I have some what neglected the site as of recent. I want to re-focus on this project. I have in fact made some plans for the future. I'll lay them out here.
1. More ballets being added to the Compendium (finally!)
2. Recording the full Giuseppe Rota ballet, The Count of Monte Cristo, with music by Paolo Giorza. I was very happy to share the Dall'Argine and Viviani recordings and was happy with the feedback. I thought it was time to take on the challenge of recording an entire lost ballet. I'll talk about the music more with a post I'll include with the recording(s). I'll post the recordings piecemeal. In all honesty, I am not a great pianist and this project will take me a while. I am however very excited to share the first recording of the Introduzione e Ballabile which should be out soon.
3. Somthing special in May (I'll share more later)
I am excited to spend more time dedicated to the Compendium. I'll also try to post more to keep you guys updated.
